How to change the name of my wifi on my netgear router

• in order to change the name of the WIFI on your Netgear R7000, Please follow the steps below:
  > Connect your computer to the router wireless or Via Ethernet cable
  > logon to https://www.routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1 and hit enter.
  > sign in with default username : admin and default password : password
  > go to the basic wireless settings
  > this is where you can change the name and the password, please dont forget to save the changes before you exit out of the page.

• Connect your device to NETGEAR router network.
  Open your browser.
  Type in the address bar http://www.routerlogin.net
  Login using admin credentials.
  Now on the dashboard choose wireless.
  Change the name and the password and hit apply.

• Connect a hard wire from the router to the computer-

  1.Open your browser and type http://routerlogin.net .
  2.Login page will appear login with yourcredentials.
  3.Go to wireless tab.
  4. Change the password of your router to the new one.
  5. Save the settings and reboot your router .
  CONNECT WITH THE NEW PASSWORD AND YOU ARE READY TO GO.

• To change the password of your network you need to follow these steps:-
  1. Press windows + R key that will open run window for you.
  2. Type CMD in the run box.
  3. Open Ipconfig and check network statistics.
  4. Open your default gateway in any browser.
  5. Type your user name and password . (Default user name – admin password-password).
  6. It will open router main page then you need to go to wireless section .
  7. Under wireless section you can change passphrase/network key.
  8. save the settings and connect your devices with new password
