  • 1.You need to be connected to your router using hardwire or wireless.
    2.Once connected open your browser and type in https://routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1.
    3.The login screen will appear.Use default credentials or custom and log in.
    4.If there is any firmware update is available then you can see it on the dashboard itself. Simply tap on it then hit yes and wait for its download and update.

  • In order to update the firmware of your router R6700 V2 please follow the steps below:
    > Make sure the computer is connected hardwired or wireless to the router
    > Pull up a browser and at the top on the address bar type in https://www.routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1
    > Login with the default username : admin and default password
    > On the main dashboard screen of the router on the top you will see a firmware update is available
    > click on it it will connect the router to the netgear server and it will ask you if you want to updat the routers firmware
    > Click on YES, It will update the firmware and reboot the router .
    With this the router update is complete.

  • Upgrading router firmware is important to maintain your device with new changes.

    Step 1 : Make sure you have a computer connected to your router.
    Step 2 : Now you need to open http://www.routerlogin.net on you internet browser and sign in with your Username Password.
    Step 3 : Once you see the dashboard for you Netgear R6700V2 on the top of your dashboard there will be a highlighted link that says FIRMWARE UPGRADE AVAILABLE click on it to upgrade the firmware of your router.

    Tips :- You can manually upgrade the firmware of you router by going in the router page, selecting ADVANCED and then click on ADMINISTRATOR to select Router update.
    ( Do not TURN OFF your router while it is upgrading )

  • To Update the firmware of your R6700v2 router you need to follow these steps:-
    1. Press windows + R key that will open run window for you.
    2. Type CMD in the run box.
    3. Open Ipconfig and check network statistics.
    4. Open your default gateway in any browser.
    5. Type your user name and password .
    6. now you are on router main page .
    7. you need to go to advanced tab and then administration there you will find upgrade of your
    router.
    8. click on update it will take 2-3 minutes and it will reboot your router automatically after updation.
    now your firmware of router has been successfully updated.
