Yes it is very much secure to use a guest account at house all you need to make sure you have a strong password on it too and you only share the password to the people you know.
Yes, it is completely safe to use guest account in your home. You cant have the access to the router admin page while you are connected on the router. Make sure you don;t share the password with any stranger.

Having guest account is safe in most cases as a person using that guest account cannot have admin rights to mode your router. Just don’t start using it yourself.

So he/she is not able to make any changes ,if he/she wants to do any changes they need to have admin account settings and password.
