  • Yes you can surely secure your Tplink router manually by keeping a Wireless password for your Wifi, Please follow the steps below to secure your network:
    > Make sure your computer is connected to the router wireless or via Ethernet cable
    > pull up a browser and login to 192.168.2.1
    > you will see a Dashboard page
    > look for the wireless settings
    > under wireless settings you wills see a wireless security
    > Security mode : WPA/WPA2 TKIP/AES and you can enter a password of your choice Minimum of 8 characters
    > save the settings and the router will reboot connect your computer or any device to the wifi using the new password.
    TIP: A strong password is that contains: Upper case , Lower case , Number and some special characters.

  • Make sure when you are trying to secure your router choose the security type which is compatible with your devices and a password of minimum 8 characters.

    Follow these steps –
    1.Connect your router to your computer with Ethernet or Wireless connection.
    2.Now open 192.168.2.1 IP address on your internet browser.
    3.Now the Belkin router dashboard is on your screen so click on wireless.
    4.Now you will ssid,password and security type.
    5.So, select the security type and enter a secure password.
