Go ahead and reset your extender but along with it you need to restart your modem and router at the same time
Once the internet from your router is working ,reconfigure your extender again.
If needed make some changes in the wireless channels of your router and extender .
in order to check why you are facing the connectivity issue’s with the wifi, there are few things that can be checked:
> check if the extender is plugged into a power serge if YES remove it and plug in to a direct wall outlet.
> Check if there is any latest firmware pending on the extender
> if the wireless is unstable just on a particular device try to reset the network wireless adapter of the device and it should fix the issue.
> Reset the extender and try to reconfigure it
> check the channels of the router if on auto make it like 1,11,6 for 2.4 GHz and 157,153,161 for the 5 GHz.
> if its an old one its time to buy a new one.
> also check the distance between the router and the extender, extender will not work properly if its too far or too close to the router.
To resolve this issue kindly follow these steps:-
1.Reboot the cable modem.
2.Reboot the router.
3.Update the firmware of your router.
4.Verify if signal is strong through the cable modem.
5.Disable WPS within the router admin (Advanced Settings > Wireless > Wi-Fi Protected Setup).
6.Change the ‘Channel’ for 2.4Ghz from Auto to Channel 1 within the router admin (Advanced Settings > Wireless > Wireless Setup)
7.Clone the ‘MAC Address’ by clicking on the “Clone Your Computer’s MAC Address” button within the router admin (Advanced Settings > WAN > Internet Setup).
at last you can try this step:-
8.Go to Advanced Settings > LAN > Host and LAN Settings Change “Enable DNS Proxy” to Off Save.
your issue will be fixed with these steps if not just reset the extender and re configure it.
