How to update the firmware of my router Linksys?

Login to the web based utility of your Linksys router by entering the default ip addres i.e 192.168.1.1 or http://www.linksyssmartwifi.net .
Now go to the connectivity tab and you will see the option of check for new firmware update .
If available download it and uplaod it on your router and our router will reboot itself and this whole process will takes atleast 3-5 minutes.
To update the firmware of your Linksys router you need to follow these steps:-
1. Press windows + R key that will open run window for you.
2. Type CMD in the run box.
3. Open Ipconfig and check network statistics.
4. Open your default gateway in any browser.
5. Type your user name and password .
6. now you are on router main page .
7. you need to go to advanced tab and then administration there you will find upgrade of your
router.
8. click on update it will take 2-3 minutes and it will reboot your router automatically after
updation.
now your firmware of router has been successfully updated.
