The Tp-Link RE 650 supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ (WPS), 256-bit WPA™ / WPA2™ encryption, and 64 / 128-bit WEP encryption.
This is new product from tplink and yes it supports all the security types like WPA, WPA2, WPA2 PERSONAL AND WPA/WPA2 MIXED for configuration of this extender to the existing network at that place.
Your device supports four (4) of the most commonly used wireless security modes which you can choose from: WEP, WPA Personal, WPA2 Personal, and WPA2/WPA Mixed Mode.
WPA, WPA2, and WPA2/WPA security modes are highly recommended over WEP for a higher level of security.
