  • As you have mentioned that while setting up your ring door bell it is asking for wpa2 security mode that means the security mode on your router is either wep or wap so kindly change the security mode and try again to setup the door ring bell.
    To change the mode of security kindly follow these steps:-
    1. Press windows + R key that will open run window for you.
    2. Type CMD in the run box.
    3. Open Ipconfig and check network statistics.
    4. Open your default gateway in any browser.
    5. Type your user name and password . (Default user name – admin password-password).
    6. It will open router main page then you need to go to wireless section .
    7. Under wireless section you can change the security mode as per your requirement.

  • 1.On your mobile device, go to the App Store.
    2.Do a search for “Ring.”
    3.Download and install the Ring app on your mobile device.
    4.Open the Ring App
    5.Select Set Up a Device,
    6.Follow the in-app instructions to create a new account.
    7.Tap “Setup Device”
    8.Select Ring Video Doorbell.
    9.Name your device
    10.Specify your location
    11.Push the Black button on the front of your Ring Doorbell 2 to put the device in Setup mode. When the light on the front of your Ring Doorbell is spinning, tap the Continue button in your app.
    12.Press the Home button on your iPhone or iPad to leave the Ring app.
    13.Navigate to the “Settings” app.
    14.Tap “Wi-Fi.”
    15.Select the network from the list that begins with “Ring-.”
    16.Close your Settings App and return to the Ring App.
    17.When you return to the Ring app, the app will automatically scan for available Wi-Fi networks. Select the network closest to your Ring Doorbell to connect it.
    18.The next step in the setup process will ask you to connect your Ring Doorbell to your Wi-Fi network.
    19.Once your Ring Doorbell has completed its update and setup, push the front button to run a test call.

    TO CHANGE THE SECURITY TYPE

    1. Open your default gateway in any browser.
    2. Type your user name and password to login into the dashboard
    3. It will open router main page then you need to go to wireless option .
    4. Under wireless section you can change the security mode as per your requirement.
