  • Using a switch/hub is an easy way to build a fast, reliable Ethernet network. To connect Switch/Hub to the router kindly follow these steps:-
1.Make sure all of the devices you will connect to the switch are powered OFF.
2.Connect an Ethernet cable to one of the numbered ports on the switch, then connect the other end to a wired device such as a computer, a gaming console or to another switch.
3.Connect an Ethernet cable to one of the ports at the back of the switch, then connect the other end to one of the Ethernet ports at the back of the router.
4.Connect the supplied power adapter to the power port on the switch, then connect the other end into an electrical outlet.
5.Power ON the devices connected to the switch.

  • You can connect a straight-through CAT 5, CAT 5e, CAT 6 Ethernet cable from a numbered port on the router to the Uplink port on the hub or switch. Most Uplink ports are shared with the Ethernet port next to it. This means that you cannot use the Uplink port and the Ethernet port at the same time.
