  • How to use Let’s Encrypt:
    Requirements:
    Make sure that you already use a public WAN IP.
    Open the Access for WAN in Administration-System page.
    Apply a DDNS host name.
    Apply a signed certificate.
    Log in to ASUSWRT GUI by DDNS host name.
    Step 1:
    Go to Administration -> System tab.
    Authentication Method :Select HTTPS
    Enable Web Access from WAN: Yes
    Step 2:
    Go to WAN – DDNS page, configure DDNS.
    Type your DDNS host name in textbox.
    Select Free Certificate form Let’s Encrypt for HTTPS/SSL Certificate.
    Click Apply button.
    Check status of Server Certificate and it should be Active.
    Type the URL at URL bar in Chrome.
    The URL text will be like: https://___________.asuscomm.com:8443
    *Remember to add: 8443 after the URL
    Your connection will be switched to Secure.

  • To enable HTTPS and create a certification by using ASUS lets encrypt kindly follow these steps:-
    1.Log in to ASUSWRT GUI by DDNS host name.
    2.Go to Administration – System tab. Authentication Method :Select HTTPS,Enable Web Access from WAN: Yes
    3.Go to WAN – DDNS page, configure DDNS. Type your DDNS host name in textbox. Select Free Certificate form Let’s Encrypt for HTTPS/SSL Certificate.
    4.Click Apply button.
    5.Check status of Server Certificate and it should be Active.
