Active antennas are installed with amplifiers. It contains active electronics components which increase and gives you stable connectivity.
Thanks for sharing your querry with us , active antennas are basically used to increase the range of your wi fi reception.Definitely a router with two antennas is the best because in a single antenna router , sending and receiving of signals is carried through the same antenna where in a dual antenna router , one antenna can be used to send signals and the other one to receive signals. This enhances the range and amount of bandwidth that is wasted due to collision of packets.
