  • The primary differences between the 2.4 GHz and 5GHz wireless frequencies are range and bandwidth. 5GHz provides faster data rates at a shorter distance, whereas 2.4GHz offers coverage for farther distances, but may perform at slower speeds. … Higher frequencies allow faster transmission of data, also known as bandwidth.

  • Thanks for sharing your query with us,Wicommfi ac750 dual band repeater, model number CF-WR750AC which you are using is one of the best repeater. The primary differences between the two frequencies are the range (coverage) and bandwidth (speed) that the bands provide. The 2.4 GHz band provides coverage at a longer range but transmits data at slower speeds. The 5 GHz band provides less coverage but transmits data at faster speeds.
The range is lower in the 5 GHz band because higher frequencies cannot penetrate solid objects, such as walls and floors. However, higher frequencies allow data to be transmitted faster than lower frequencies, so the 5 GHz band allows you to upload and download files faster.

  • The difference between 2.4GHz and 5 Ghz network is :
2.4 Ghz gives you less internet speed but more signal strength in the house and connectivity is slow with your devices.
5.0 Ghz gives you high internet speed but less signal strength in the house and quick connectivity with your devices
