  • You need to remove NVram of your extender .As it keeps some data that is why it comes back to applied settings again.

-Plug in the extender in a wall socket.
-Wait for 2-3 minutes to boot up properly .
-Now press and hold the WPS button for 10 seconds.
-Now without releasing the WPS unplug your extender and wait for 10 seconds.
-Now plug the extender back in and hold WPS for 10 seconds.
Note-In this 30 seconds process you do not need to release the WPS button .
Once the process is done wait for 5 minutes.
-Power cycle your modem or router and then extender.
-Press the reset button on the extender for 30 seconds and unplug it without releasing reset.
-Wait 10 seconds then plug it back keep holding the reset for another 10 seconds.
    -Now release it .
Note- In most cases you will not see any LED on extender but its still booting so wait 5 minutes if you see any LED that is good otherwise power cycle it after 5 minutes .

  • As you have mentioned that your extender is not resetting to factory default settings kindly check whether are you resetting it properly. while resetting the extender it should be plugged in directly to wall socket. do not use any surge protector or extension while resetting. kindly use a paper clip for the same.As leo mentioned earlier you need to remove NV ram as well.
Then hard reset your extender by following these steps:-
    1. plug your extender in a wall socket.
    2. use a paper clip and press the reset button for almost 10-15 seconds.
    3. you will see a change in pattern of lights on front panel.
    4. wait for some time.
    5. your extender will reboot after few seconds then you need to Reconfigure your extender agin.
