First you need to login with your net gear router with the help of the IP address
https:// 192.168.1.1
then it will take you to the login page and then go to the administration and from there you can easily update the new version firmware of the net gear router

To update the firmware of your Netgear R7800 router Kindly follow these steps:-
1. Press windows + R key that will open run window for you.
2. Type CMD in the run box.
3. Open Ipconfig and check network statistics.
4. Open your default gateway in any browser.
5. Type your user name and password .
6. now you are on router main page .
7. you need to go to advanced tab and then administration there you will find upgrade of your
router.
8. click on update it will take 2-3 minutes and it will reboot your router automatically after
updation.

Enter the router user name and password.

Select ADVANCED > Administration.
Click the Firmware Update or Router Update button.
The button label varies by router.
