HOW DO I CONNECT MY R6400 NETGEAR ROUTER , SO I CAN CONNECT MY DEVICES THROUGH WIFI?

To setup your Netgear R6400 router you need to follow these steps:-
You need to plug in a cable from your existing modem to internet port of your router.
after connecting this cable connect a cable from port no-4 of your router to your computer. then follow these steps:
1. Press windows + R key that will open run window for you.
2. Type CMD in the run box.
3. Open Ipconfig and check network statistics.
4. Open your default gateway in any browser.
5. Type your user name and password .
6. that will open a setup wizard for you so follow the steps and you are good to go.
7. while following the setup wizard kindly make sure the settings you are choosing is correct
i.e time zone and wireless network name and key.
8. kindly upgrade the router firmware as well if there is any update pending over there.
if problem still persists you can reset your router and follow the same steps.

Steps to configure router :-
:-Connect one end of the yellow Ethernet cable to your modem and the other end to the Internet port on your router.
:-Plug in and turn on your modem.
:-Connect your computer to the router .
:-Open any internet browser
:-If the webpage is not display close and reopen the browser then enter
http://www.routerlogin.net
:-Once setup wizard is open follow the instruction
:-Once its done router will save the settings.
:-Now you can connect your devices with router…

In order to set up your new Netgear R6400 Router please read the following steps :
Step 1 –
> Make sure you have a connection between your router and the modem with a Ethernet Cable . On the Router it will connect to the Yellow port.
> Now if you are using a Wireless Computer maybe a laptop / Desktop, Go to the available networks in the Wifi Settings.
> See if you can find your new router name in the available Wifi list, If Yes then Connect to the new network.
> Now open a Browser Maybe Google Chrome, internet Explore, Mozilla FireFox, Safari (Mac OS). In the address Bar of your browser , type in (www.routerlogin.net) . This should take you to the setup page for your Netgear Router.
> Follow the instructions and you would have your router configured properly.
*In Case You Don’t See your New Network name in the Wifi list :
> Get a paper Clip, at the back of the router you will see a Reset pin hole. Press and hold the paper clip into that hole for good 30 Seconds. When you see light turns to a Blinking amber, Take the clip out.
> Wait untill the router warms up and you see a solid Green light. Now , when you see a solid green light for the power check the list of available Network in the wifi Settings on your wireless device. you might find the name of your new Network and then follow the step mentioned above.

Step 2 –
Incase you don’t have a wireless device follow the following steps :
> The connection between the Modem and the router would be the same. We would require a extra ethernet cable that will connect from your router port Number 4 to the computer.
> Now if its a windows Computer you will need to press the windows and the letter “R” on the keyboard together. You will see a run window would appear, type in CMD and click on OK / hit Enter.
> A black command Promt window will appear, Type in IPCONFIG and hit Enter. you will see windows Ip configurations came up on the same screen. Find ethernet adapter ethernet and below it you will see default gate way ( Starts with 192.168 or 10.0.0) . Please copy the default gate way.
> Please pull up a Browser may be Google chrome , internet explore or any other, at the address bar type in the default gateway number that we just copied and hit enter. This will take you to the set up wizard.
Follow the instructions and set up is done successfully.
