  • AS you have mentioned that there is apipa issue with your linksys r6220 ,I am sharing some steps to resolve apipa issue:-
    1) First of all perform a complete POWER CYCLE of the entire setup.
    2) This includes unplugging of cables & swapping the ends of the Ethernet cable from the ISP
    devices & rebooting the computer.
    3) Perform an IPCONFIG RELEASE/RENEW. You’ll get a valid IP or an error message. Check KB for
    the error message.
    4) Check DHCP/DNS client service status.
    – startup type : automatic
    – startup status: started
    5) restart Computer and check the ip address of network.
    6)) Uninstall/reinstall network adapter from device manager. Then restart computer &Check if you
    get valid IP.
    7) Manual Winsock fix ,Restart computer & Check if you get vaild IP.
    if problem still persists then reset your router and re setup the device.
    if still there is Apipa after reset then we need to change some settings from registry of your computer so kindly give us call on 1-800-603-4024.

  • :-If you are getting apipa first do power cycle
    :-Check if you still getting the apipa
    :- we need to reset the router
    :-To reset your router find the tiny reset button usually located at the back of the router.
    :-While the router is on, use a pin or the end of a paper clip to press and hold the reset button. You will need to hold if for about 10 seconds.
    :-. Connect the Internet cable from your modem to the yellow Internet port on your router.
    :-Wait until the power light on the front of the router is solid.
    :-.Connect your computer to router
    :-. Open a web browser and follow the instructions to complete yourrouter’s setup.
    :- If instructions do not appear in the web browser, enter 192.168.1.1 in the browser’s address bar.
    :-. At the end of setup, follow the on-screen instructions to set up your
    :-Linksys Smart Wi-Fi account.
    :- Use Linksys Smart Wi-Fi to easily manage your router’s settings, such as:
    • Change your router’s name and password
    • Set up guest access
    • Configure parental controls
    • Connect devices to your network
    • Test your Internet connection speed

    -IF NOT YOU NEED TO HARD RESET YOUR ROUTER BY HOLDING THE PAPER CLIP IN THE RESET HOLE OF YOUR ROUTER FOR 30 SECONDS
    NOW RELEASE/RENEW THE IP ADDRESS OF YOUR ROUTER AND RESTART YOUR COMPUTER
    GO AHEAD AND SET UP YOUR ROUTER NOW
