AS you have mentioned that you want to change admin credentials of Netgear wnr2000 router , there can be two possibilities either you know the admin password and want to change it or you just forgot the password. i will share some steps for both the scenarios:
Scenario 1- you know the admin password and just want to change it.
1. Press windows + R key that will open run window for you.
2. Type CMD in the run box.
3. Open Ipconfig and check network statistics.
4. Open your default gateway in any browser.
5. Type your user name and password .
6. now you are on router main page, under Maintenance, select Set Password to display the Set
Password screen.
7.To change the password, first enter the old password, then enter the new password twice.
8.Click Apply.
your admin password has been changed successfully now.

Scenario 2- you forgot the password.
if you forgot the password simply reset your router by

If you forgot the password simply reset your router with the help of paper clip by holding reset button for atleast 20-30 seconds and re setup the device.
To setup your Netgear wnr2000 router you need to follow these steps:-
You need to plug in a cable from your existing modem to internet port of your router.
after connecting this cable connect a cable from port no-4 of your router to your computer. then follow these steps:
1. Press windows + R key that will open run window for you.
2. Type CMD in the run box.
3. Open Ipconfig and check network statistics.
4. Open your default gateway in any browser.
5. Type your user name and password .now it will be (username-admin, password-password)
6. that will open a setup wizard for you so follow the steps while following the steps it will ask you
to change admin credentials so set that as per your choice.
7. while following the setup wizard kindly make sure the settings you are choosing is correct
i.e time zone and wireless network name and key.
8. kindly upgrade the router firmware as well if there is any update pending over there.

Steps to configure router :-
:-Connect one end of the yellow Ethernet cable to your modem and the other end to the Internet port on your router.
:-Plug in and turn on your modem.
:-Connect your computer to the router .
:-Open any internet browser
:-If the webpage is not display close and reopen the browser then enter
http://www.routerlogin.net
:-Once setup wizard is open follow the instruction
:-Once its done router will save the settings.
:-Now you can connect your devices with router
:-To change the admin login password go to router main page and then Select ADVANCED > Administration > Set Password.
:-Type the old password, and type the new password twice.
:-To be able to recover your password in the future, select the Enable Password Recovery check box.
:-Click the Apply button.Your settings are saved and your admin password has been changed .
