What should be the colour of the Extender light after the setup ?

The range extender light will give you precise information on whether you've set up the extender correctly or not. The duration of the time interval may differ depending on the model. However, once the range extender is been connected to the router the light signal will turn constant 'on' (no regardless of what colour it is, or the number of signal bars is there).
