Steps to configure extender :-
Connect via Wi-Fi to your NETGEAR WiFi extender
Login to the web user interface of your NETGEAR WiFi Extender using http://myWiFiext.net.
You will be prompted to enter a username and password.
Default login credentials are:
Username: admin
Password: password
Note: Username and password are case sensitive.
Walk through the setup wizard to setup your connection to your Access Point. (Do not use WPS when reconnecting to the Access Point)
Reconnect your Wi-Fi devices to your NETGEAR WiFi Extender using either the WPS button or manual connection.
If problem still persist call at 1-800-603-4024 and get it fixed from expertise.
Use the following steps-
IF YOUR ROUTER SUPPORTS WPS ,YOU CAN FOLLOW THESE STEPS :-
1.PRESS AND HOLD THE WPS BUTTON ON YOUR ROUTER FOR THREE SECONDS AND THEN YOU WILL SEE A LIGHT BLINKING.
2.THEN PRESS AND HOLD THE WPS ON YOUR EXTENDER AND YOU WILL SEE A LIGHT BLINKING THERE AS WELL.
3.NOW YOU WILL SEE THE STABLE POWER LIGHT ON YOUR EXTENDER.
4.SOLID GREEN MEANS ITS SETUP AND YOU CAN CONNECT YOUR DEVICES.
5.THE PASSWORD FOR EXTENDERS WIFI WILL BE SAME AS YOUR ROUTER.
6.ONCE THE SETUP IS DONE TRY USING YOUR EXTENDER AND IF YOU FACE ANY ISSUES CALL US AT 1-800-603-4024.
Most easiest way to setup your Netgear EX6200 extender –
1.Plug your extender only using a wall socket .
2.Wait for 2-3 minutes .
3.Now you can use any wireless device like computer ,tablet or smartphone for setup.
4.Simply on your device got to wireless and look for extender name. e.g-Name will appear as NETGEAR_EXT.
5.It will be an open network so just connect to it.
6.Once you are connected open your browsing app Like safari,google chrome,opera etc.
7.Now just type in the search address bar-http://mywifiwext.net.
8.In some cases mywifiext doesn’t work so you can try this IP address instead -192.168.1.250 or 192.168.1.254.
9.When you enter these address it will give you new extender setup page .Hit that and create your login account .
10.On next page it will ask you the mode .Choose Range extender and on next page choose your host network.That means your router network .
11.Put in the router password and hit next.Now choose the name and password for your extender and complete the setup.
12.Last step is to connect your device on extender network again with new name . Open that browser page again and check the box to confirm that you are connected to the extender network .
There are several ways to connect your netgear EX6200 extender i.e ethernet cable method ,wps method and many more but i am sharing wps method here for wps method you need to follow these steps:-
1. connect your extender in a direct wall socket near by your router for setup.
2. press wps button on your extender for 3-5 seconds.
3. press wps button on your router (you can do it by accessing router main page also).
4. it will be connected to your routers network.
5. you will see your network name with ext affixed in it.
6. connect to the same network .
7. it will open a setup wizard for you.
8. follow the on screen instructions and you are good to go now.
9. you can Login to the web user interface of your netgear WiFi Extender using
http://myWiFiext.net but the device should be connected to extender network.
(if problem still persists you can reset your device.)
