I AM TRYING TO CONNECT MY ROKU WITH THE HOME NETWORK BUT ITS NOT CONNECTING AND GIVING ME SOME ERROR MESSAGE ....WHAT SHOULD I DO ....MY ROUTER IS NETGEAR R6020

To connect your Roku with Netgear R6020 router you need to follow these steps:-
1.Plug the HDMI cord into the TV,Older TV’s will have a component or composite connection instead
of HDMI.
2.Insert batteries into the remote.
3.Plug the power adapter into the wall outlet.
4.Plug the other end of the adapter into Roku.
5.Make sure that your TV is off as you connect the Roku player.
6.Turn on your TV and change to the input you connected the Roku to.
7.After plugging in Roku, a message will appear that states: Roku – Starting, please wait
Roku – Launching home screen Welcome to the Roku player.
8.Connect to Wi-Fi. This is done by clicking on your network that you use for other wireless devices
and entering your password, your roku Automatically scan the wireless networks at your place
you just need to select your network name and connect to it.
9.Wait for Roku to install its software. It will automatically download and install the latest
version.after update roku will automatically reboot.
10.Enter your information. This is done once the Roku reboots after installing its software. click on
done after that Doing so will prompt a code that you can enter at http://www.roku.com/link to sync
your account with device.

I will suggest you to go for manual ip setup on your Roku.
1.if the ip address is 192.168.1.1 then enter these details.
â–ºIP ADDRESS – 192.168.1.95
â–ºSUBNET MASK – 255.255.255.0
â–ºDEFAULT GATEWAY – 192.168.1.1
â–ºPRIMARY DNS – 192.168.1.1

2.if the ip address is 10.0.0.1 then enter these details.
â–ºIP ADDRESS – 10.0.0.95
â–ºSUBNET MASK – 255.255.255.0.
â–ºDEFAULT GATEWAY – 10.0.0.1
â–ºPRIMARY DNS – 10.0.0.1
Roku configuration :-
:-Connect your Roku player to your TV using HDMI cable
:-Open the battery cover of your remote and insert batteries.
:-Connect the power connector to the Roku player and connect the power adapter to a wall outlet.
:-Make sure the correct TV input is selected on your TV (the input to which your Roku player is connected).
:-You should now see the Roku logo on the TV screen as your Roku player powers on.
:-Choose a language
When your Roku Player powers on, the first screen will prompt you to choose a language. All text and dialog within the Roku application will be displayed in the selected language. Scroll up and down the list and press to choose a language.
:-Connect your Roku player to the Internet
Choose your wireless network from the list of available networks and enter your password
:-Once you have entered your password and selected Connect, your Roku player will automatically connect to the Internet.
:-Wait for your Roku player to download the latest software
:-Create a Roku account and activate your Roku player
:-Activating your Roku player will be displayed on your TV, including an activation code
:-You will be required to visit my.roku.com/link on your computer or smartphone, enter the code and follow the instructions to activate your Roku player.
:-You are done!
Once you have completed all of the activation steps, your Roku player will be ready to use.
