How to upgrade the firmware for the orbi rbr50 router?

In order to update the firmware of an Orbi router, Follow the instructions below:

Make sure the Orbi router is all set up and connected to the internet. Connect your computer to the Orbi router wireless or via Ethernet cable. Once that is connected Pull up a browser and at the top of the address bar type in 10.0.0.1 and hit enter. You will get to the login screen the default username: admin and Password: password all lower case.

Once you are signed into the Dashboard Click on the Advanced Tab on the top and then click on the administration tab on the left panel, Now click on the firmware update. On the right side of the screen, you will see an Online update or manual update click on Online update and click on check for update. If there will be an update it will automatically download the update and install it on the router and the router will reboot. Once rebooted the firmware update is complete.

You can also update the router manually.

In order to upgrade the Orbi router's firmware follow these instructions;

1. Connect either one of your devices the Orbi router's wifi network
2. Now on the web browser, you need to visit http://orbilogin.net or http://192.168.1.1
3. It will ask you for the admin username and password that you assigned at the time of setup
4. On the Advanced menu bar you need to choose Administration then Firmware update
5. Over there your orbi system will automatically check for the latest firmware, if there is any firmware available it will give you the option to update the same.

Connect your mobile device to your Orbi router's WiFi network.
Launch the Orbi app.
Enter your router's admin password and tap SIGN IN. …
In the top-left corner, tap the Menu icon.
Select Settings > Router Settings.
Scroll down and tap Check for Updates.
