  • To setup your netgear c 7000 on your surface computer you need to follow these steps:-
    You need to plug in a cable from your existing modem to internet port of your router.
    after connecting this cable slide out the charms bar from the right edge and tap the settings icon after that tap the wi-fi icon,tap the switch under airplane mode to enable/disable wi-fi. Tap the network of your netgear router and click on connect it will ask for a password kindly enter the default password of your router which you can find underneath the router. click on next then enable/disable the sharing as per your choice now your surface computer is connected to your netgear c 7000 router. to finalize the setup kindly follow these steps:-
    1. Press windows + R key that will open run window for you.
    2. Type CMD in the run box.
    3. Open Ipconfig and check network statistics.
    4. Open your default gateway in any browser.
    5. Type your user name and password .
    6. that will open a setup wizard for you so follow the steps and you are good to go.
    7. while following the setup wizard kindly make sure the settings you are choosing is correct
    i.e time zone and wireless network name and key.
    8. kindly upgrade the router firmware as well if there is any update pending over there.
    if problem still persists you can reset your router and follow the same steps.

  • 1.PLUG IN THE ROUTER TO THE POWER.
    2.Connect an Ethernet cable from modem to your router’s WAN port.
    3.Connect you’re surface on the wifi of netgear .
    4.Now open your browser and type in the address bar http://routerlogin.net .
    5.follow the instructions on the screen.
    6.Once your setup is completed remove the ethernet from computer.

  • To setup your C7000 netgear –

    1.Check the attachment for cable connection.
    2.In your computer you cannot connect a cable so simply connect on router’s network.
    3.Once you are connected open your browser and type in http://routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1 .
    4.As its a cable modem router some time the IP appears to be different sometime so you can try this to check your IP-
    -Open command prompt and type ‘ IPCONFIG ‘ and check the default gateway for wireless adapter.
    5.Now use that same IP in the browser and the genie will appear and simply follow the steps and complete the configure.

    :-Connect one end of the yellow ethernet cable to your modem and the other end to the Internet port on your router.
    :-Plug in and turn on your modem.
    :-Connect your computer to the router .
    :-Open any internet browser
    :-If the webpage is not display close and reopen the browser then enter
    http://www.routerlogin.net
    :-Once setup wizard is open follow the nstruction
    :-Once its done router will save the settings.
    :-Now you can connect your devices with router
