i have bought a new Linksys re6500 extender not working I need help on it.

Plugin the extender into the wall socket at least 5-10 feet away from your router for the initial setup.
press and hold the WPS button on the router for 5 seconds and then within 1 minute press the WPS button on the extender for 3 seconds.
now connect any computer or laptop with the extender connection and open the browser, type the IP address of the extender in the long address bar of your browser it will take you to the login page, fill in the login information and set up the password
save the settings and now extender is ready to work

Extender setup:-
:-Plug in the extender directly into the wall outlet
:-Once light are solid
:-Connect your computer to extender
:-Open a web browser on your computer, smartphone or tablet and access the RE6500’s web-based setup page by entering http://extender.linksys.com or 192.168.1.1 in the Address bar.
:-Click Start on the setup screen.
:-On the License Agreement page, click I agree.
:-Select your wireless network when prompted. If you have a dual-band network, you should see the SSID of both bands.
:-Click the Refresh icon to rescan for networks.
:-Enter your wireless network’s password and then click Next.
:-You will be prompted to configure your Extended Network. The Extended Network names are automatically created for you with _Ext for your 2.4 GHz network and _5GHz_Ext for your 5 GHz network at the end of the SSID name. You can change the names of your Extended Network if you like. Click Next when finished.
:-Create an admin password when prompted and enter an optional security hint and then, click Next.
:-Once the Your extender is set up screen displays, your setup is now complete.
There are several ways to connect your linksys re6500 extender i.e ethernet cable method ,wps method and many more but i am sharing wps method here for wps method you need to follow these steps:-
1. connect your extender in a direct wall socket near by your router for setup.
2. press wps button on your extender for 3-5 seconds.
3. press wps button on your router (you can do it by accessing router main page also).
4. it will be connected to your routers network.
5. you will see your network name with ext affixed in it.
6. connect to the same network .
7. it will open a setup wizard for you.
8. follow the on screen instructions and you are good to go now.
(if problem still persists you can reset your device.)
