  • To configure your EX7000 as an Access Point:-

    :-Connect your router using an Ethernet cable to any available Ethernet ports of your EX7000.
    :-Use your Wi-Fi network manager on your wireless computer or any Wi-Fi device to connect to the NETGEAR_EXT network.
    :-Once connected, the Device to Extender LED will turn to solid green.
    :-Open your internet browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, or Google Chrome.
    :-Enter http://www.mywifiext.net in the address bar of your internet browser.
    :-Click NEW EXTENDER SETUP.
    :-Complete the extender setup screen and click next.
    :-Click Access Point and the setup is now going to check for an internet connection.
    :-Set the network name (SSID), security option, and passphrase (network key). Click Next.
    :-After applying the settings, connect your devices wired or wirelessly to the EX7000’s new SSID and click Continue.
    :-Click Next to finish the setup.
    :-Your EX7000 is now properly configured as an Access Point.

  • You can try resetting it and then connecting it using wps method.

    IF YOUR ROUTER SUPPORTS WPS ,YOU CAN FOLLOW THESE STEPS –
    1.PRESS AND HOLD THE WPS BUTTON ON YOUR ROUTER FOR THREE SECONDS AND THEN YOU WILL SEE A LIGHT BLINKING.
    2.THEN PRESS AND HOLD THE WPS ON YOUR EXTENDER AND YOU WILL SEE A LIGHT BLINKING THERE ASWELL.
    3.NOW YOU WILL SEE THE STABLE POWER LIGHT ON YOUR EXTENDER.
    4.SOLID GREEN MEANS ITS SETUP AND YOU CAN CONNECT YOUR DEVICES.
    5.THE PASSWORD FOR EXTENDERS WIFI WILL BE SAME AS YOUR ROUTER.

  • There are several ways to connect your netgear EX7000 extender i.e ethernet cable method ,wps method and many more but i am sharing wps method here for wps method you need to follow these steps:-
    1. connect your extender in a direct wall socket near by your router for setup.
    2. press wps button on your extender for 3-5 seconds.
    3. press wps button on your router (you can do it by accessing router main page also).
    4. it will be connected to your routers network.
    5. you will se your network name with ext affixed in it.
    6. connect to the same network .
    7. it will open a setup wizard for you.
    8. follow the on screen instructions and you are good to go now.
    (if problem still persists you can reset your device.)
