Yes, you can use the same name for both the bands of your Linksys extender, but some times using the same name on the extender can cause connectivity issue especially with devices connect far from the extender.

Yes we can use the same name for both the bands for the linksys extender , however it is advisable to make a minor change for identification that which one is 2G OR which one is 5g network.
