In order to do the firmware upgrade of Linksys RE9000 range extender , first we need to check the IP address of the extender , which is assigned by the main router . So first we need to login to the router admin page , goto settings then connected device list . Once we have the extender's IP address , type that in the browser of the same device which is connected to the extender's wifi network. On the main page , on the left click on firmware upgrade and then update the firmware.

  • First of all, we need to find the Ip address of the Linksys extender which is assigned by the main router and for that, we need to login into the main router's settings and then under the connected devices list, we will find the Ip address for the extender.
  • once you get the Ip address, type that Ip address on your browser and then it will take you to the web interface of the Linksys extender.
  • Now from the left-hand side, click on the Firmware Upgrade and you can update the firmware.
