How to connect Netgear EX7700 Extender with the Asus RT-AC51U Router?
follow these steps:
- Turn On your Net gear Extender
- Connect your computer with the extender’s network
- open your browser and type this address:- 192.168.1.250
- It will take you to the setup page
- create your account for the Netgear extender
- After that, it will scan for the available WiFi networks
- select your Asus router’s network and then hit next
- enter your WiFi password and hit next again
- create your WiFi information for the Net gear extender and then save the settings.

To connect netgear extender to your router, first plugin the extender into the wall socket near to your router for the initial setup and wait till the extender gets fully powered on.
Now press and hold the WPS button on the router for atleast 10 seconds and then within 1 minute press and hold the WPS button on the extender for 5 seconds.
now the WIFI lights on the extender will get solid .
Now connect any laptop or other wireless device with the extender network and then open the browser.
In the long address bar type the IP address (192.168.1.249) it will take you to the extender page over there you can put up the security password and save the settings after that.
In such case you need to plugged in your extender to the wall socket under 10 to 15 feet for the router just for the initial setup now you need to press the wps button of the extender for 3 second and then press the wps button of the router for 3 second and then wait for some seconds when light get solid it means your extender is configured.
To connect Netgear EX7700 Extender with the Asus RT-AC51U Router , first we need to plug in the extender to the power (place the extender near to the router just for initial setup) then after 2 minutes, press and hold the WPS button on the extender for 3 seconds. The lights on the extender will start flashing . Then within 2 minutes press and hold the WPS button on the router for 3 seconds,you will see the light is flashing on the router as well. Once the lights are solid , means the extender has been setup.
There are 2 different ways to connect a Netgear range extender EX770 with the Asus RT-AC51U Router:
Step 1 :
Make sure the extender is ON, press and hold the WPS button the extender for 3 Seconds and you will see a flashing light after you see the flashing light press and hold the WPS button on the Asus router for 3 seconds. After you see the flashing light On the range extender turns to solid it means the setup is complete. (note: the distance between your range extender and the Asus router should not exceed 10 feet for this process)
Step2:
Connect your computer to the Netgear extender network (SSID), Pull up a browser and at the top of the address bar type in 192.168.1.250, You will get directed to Netgear Extender setup screen follow the on-screen instruction to complete the setup.
