How to connect Linksys extender with the residential gateway router using the wps method?

For that, you need to plug your extender near the Residential Gateway Router

and then press and hold the WPS button on your extender for 3 seconds and then release it and after that press and hold the WPS button on your Netgear router for 3 seconds and then release it and after that, you need to wait for the light to get solid on the extender. Once the light is solid on the extender, it means the extender is configured.

To connect Linksys Re6400 to your router, first plugin the extender into the wall socket near to your router for the initial setup and wait till the extender gets fully powered on.

Now press and hold the WPS button on the router for atleast 10 seconds and then within 1 minute press and hold the WPS button on the extender for 5 seconds.

now the WIFI lights on the extender will get solid .

Now connect any laptop or other wireless device with the extender network and then open the browser.

In the long address bar type the IP address (192.168.1.1) it will take you to the extender page over there you can put up the security password and save the settings after that.

In order to connect your Linksys range extender to the residential gateway router please follow the instructions below:
> Plug in the extender near to the router within 10 feet.
> Wait for the blinking Amber light
> Press the WPS button the router first for 3 Seconds and then on the range extender for 3 Seconds
> First the light on the extender will blink green and then when you see the light goes solid. once you see the solid green light on the range extender it means the setup is complete.

To connect Linksys extender with the residential gateway router using the wps method,first plug in the extender to the power and make sure it is within 15 ft. to the main router just for the initial setup.Now press and hold the WPS button on the extender for 3-5 seconds.Next press and hold the WPS button on the main router for 3-5 seconds within 2 minutes.Now we will have to wait untill the lights get solid on the extender.Once you see the solid lights , you can try connecting the wireless devices with the extended network.

Just plug in the extender to the wall socket. Then wait for 10 seconds. When the light gets stable press WPS key for 3 seconds and then within one-minute press WPS key on the router.  When the light gets stable this means it is connected.

• Place the Linksys range extender nearby to your home router and power it on for the initial setup.
• Press the WPS button on your extender and hold it down for 3-5 seconds.
• Within the 1-minute press WPS button on your home router.
• Wait for the extender lights get stable and now try to connect any of your wireless devices with the extended network.
