How to configure asus rt ac66r router as a repeater mode?
after you have connect the cables in the asus devices, you need to login to dashboard to manage the mode, once you are logged in and configuring it, while doing it you have to choose the mode as repeater over there.
In order to set up an Asus router RT AC66r as a repeater please follow the instruction below:
Make sure the router is ON and connected to the computer via Ethernet or Wifi, pull up a browser and at the top of the address bar type in 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.50.1 and hit enter.
you will be directed to the setup screen click on create a network. follow the instructions carefully. when you see the mode of router click on it and change it to repeater mode and follow the instructions to complete the setup.
Steps you need to follow:
- First, you need to reset your router.
- Now connect your computer with the ASUS network by using the IP address "192.168.1.1".
- Now, it will take you to the setup page.
- Choose the Repeater mode and follow the steps for the setup.
- you need to plugin your router then connect any device with the router network
- and visit 192.168.1.1 to reach on the setup wizard page of the asus router
- when you are on the setup page of the asus it will ask you how to get it complete
- at that point you can choose the repeater mode for the asus router
- then its going to complete as a repeater
- after that save all the setting to get it complete
There are two ways to set up the ASUS RT-AC66R Router as a repeater.
- If it is an old setup router then login into the router's dashboard/settings page by visiting http://192.168.1.1 or http://router.asus.com and then on the right bottom side menu bar choose Administration, over there you will be able to change the operational mode of Asus router into the repeater.
- While doing the fresh setup you will get the option that how do you want to setup it up at that point of time you can choose the operational mode as a repeater. If it will not give you an option to choose the operational mode then you have to Skip the Setup and then it will take you to the dashboard and over there you can follow the setup number 1 instructions to do the setup.
You just have to go to the login page by using IP address 192.168.1.1. It will open the setup page of the asus. If brand new router is new then it will take you to the setup page, so from there you can change the mode to the repeater mode and complete the setup. If Router is old then, Login into your Asus router settings. Once you are logged in, go to Administrations Tab then click on system tab, click on the Repeater mode and then hit next. Just follow the instructions to complete the setup for the Asus router.
- connect your computer with the Asus router's wifi network
- open your browser and type the router's IP address i.e. 192.168.1.1
- If this is your brand new router then it will take you to the setup page, so from there you can change the mode to the repeater mode and complete the setup.
- If this is your Older Router then, Login into your Asus router settings
- once you are logged in, then Click on the Administrations Tab
- now under the system tab, click on the Repeater mode and then hit next.
- you need to follow the instructions on the screen and complete the setup for the Asus router
