How to check the Firmware of the Re6400 ?
To check the Firmware of the Re6400 , first connect any wireless device or computer with the extender's network. Open extender.linksys.com OR try with the extender's IP address. Once you are logged in goto menu on the left, goto administration , there you will see firmware upgrade option.

over there click on firmware upgrade option on the administration.
Firstly ,you need to connect your device with the extender's network then open any browser and at the very top of the browser type IP address of that device which will take you to the login page of your device from where click on administration after that click on firmware upgrade .
- You need to open the login page of RE 6400 extender .
- Click on administration .
- Click on the firmware upgrade .
To update the firmware of the re 6400 first you need to connect your device with the extender network and then open any browser on there and type at the very top of the screen http://extender.linksys.com or you can login with the help of ip address that is 192.168.1.1 Now if you look at the left side Menu bar under the Administration you will see Firmware upgrade, by choosing that option you will be able to do the firmware upgrade of your range extender.

Connect any one of your wireless or wired devices with the Linksys Re6400 extender's network and then on the browser, you need to visit http://extender.linksys.com or you can try to login into the extender by visiting the IP address that is provided by the router to the extender.
Now if you look at the left side Menu bar under the Administration you will see Firmware upgrade, by choosing that option you will be able to do the firmware upgrade of your range extender.
