NETGEAR ROUTER FIRMWARE UPGRADE GUIDE-
1.FIRST YOU NEED TO CONNECT ON YOUR ROUTER’S WIFI.
2.THEN GO ON YOUR BROWSER AND LOGIN ON YOUR ROUTER BY GOING ON THIS WEBSITE http://www.routerlogin.net .
3.IT WILL ASK YOU TO ENTER USERNAME AND PASSWORD WHICH IS admin FOR USERNAME AND password for PASSWORD.
4.THEN CLICK ON ADVANCED AND UNDER ADVANCED GO UNDER ADMINISTRATION AND CLICK ON FIRMWARE UPGRADE.
5.YOU CAN CLICK ON CHECK FOR UPGRADE AND CLICK ON YES IF YOU FIND A FIRMWARE UPGRADE.
NOTE :- ONCE THE ROUTER IS UPGRADING THE FIRMWARE PLEASE DO NOT TURN OFF THE ROUTER OR THE MODEM.
To update the firmware of the netgear router-
1.Connect a hard wire from router to the computer.
2.Never try to update router on wireless.
3.Open your browser and type http://routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1 .
4.If there is any firmware update available it will be on the dashboard main screen .
5.You can manually do it by going in advance .
6.Select administrator and hit router update .
7.It will check if there is any update available .If available hit yes and update it.

Connect your computer with the wireless of your router.
Open the Browser and enter the Default ip address of your router i.e 192.168.1.1
Now you need to enter the details of your router access page and login to the router page.
Default username should be admin and password is password itself
Now go to the advanced option on the router page and click on administration.
Under this you will see firmware , so select it and go to firmware upgrade.
Once the upgrade is started it will took 2 minutes approx . so till the time all network connections will be interrupted.
