THERE ARE SEVERAL WAYS TO CONNECT YOUR EXTENDER TO YOUR ROUTER I.E BY ETHERNET CABLE , WPS METHOD AND MANY MORE BUT I AM SHARING WPS METHOD HERE.
TO CONNECT YOUR LINKSYS RE 6700 EXTENDER YOU NEED TO FOLLOW THESE STEPS
1. CONNECT YOUR EXTENDER IN A DIRECT WALL SOCKET.
2. PRESS WPS BUTTON ON YOUR EXTENDER FOR 3-5 SECONDS.
3. PRESS WPS BUTTON ON YOUR ROUTER (YOU CAN DO IT BY ACCESSING ROUTER MAIN PAGE ALSO).
4.IT WILL BE CONNECTED TO YOUR ROUTERS NETWORK.
5.YOU WILL SE YOUR NETWORK NAME WITH EXT AFFIXED IN IT.
6.CONNECT TO THE SAME NETWORK .
7. IT WILL OPEN A SETUP WIZARD FOR YOU.
8.FOLLOW THE STEPS OF WIZARD AND YOU ARE GOOD TO GO NOW.
(IF PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS YOU CAN RESET YOUR DEVICE.)

To set up your linksys Re6700 extender –
1.Plug in the extender in the wall outlet.
2.Then on your computer or wifi enabled device you can connect on extender’s wifi or connect an ethernet cable to the extender.
3.Once you have connected the device to the extender, open the browser and open this website http://www.linksys.extender.com.
4.Then just follow the simple setup wizard and select your existing network and enter the password.
5.Wait for two minutes for the setup to take place.
6.Last step is to plug in the extender wherever you want in the house but make sure its only 30-40 feets away from your router.
Steps to configure linksys RE6700 extender :-
Connect your wireless device like computer to the range extender’s default network name linksys extender setup..
Open a web browser and enter “http://extender.linksys.com” in the Address bar.
When the setup screen comes up, click Start.
Follow the instructions and select your exisiting network and enter the passphrase..
Extender will save the settings..
Now connect your device like iphone or smart tv with new extender ..
Now you can place your extender at your desired location..
If the extender is located with in the range of router..
Internet speed would be better..

First you need to reset the extender by holding the reset pinhole for 30 seconds.
1-Use power socket for extender .
2-Wait for 1-2 Minutes .
3.Press WPS button on the extender for 5 seconds.Then press WPS on the router for 3 seconds.
4.Wait until you see the blinking LED solid .
5.Now check there will be a name just like your host network but with EXT .
6.Simply connect to that network by using your default password for host network .
7.Once you are connected open your browser and type http://extender.linksys.com .
8.Take a look on the dashboard that its showing you connected or not if not then try this-
Hit site survey on the page and manually select your network for extender.Follow the steps and complete the setup.
