How to Check The IP Address of the router?

To get the Ip address of your router

open the command by holding windows key(the key with four white boxes and the left bottom corner of keyboard ) and at the same time press letter R.

Write ‘cmd’ in run box to open command prompt, In command prompt write “ipconfig”

In the information below you will see a default gateway, that is the ip address of your router

IN ORDER TO CHECK THE IP ADDRESS OF THE ROUTER WE HAVE TO FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING STEPS WHICH ARE AS UNDER

FIRST OF ALL WE HAVE TO CONNECT OUR COMPUTER WITH THE ROUTER WITH THE HELP OF ETHERNET CABLE OR WIRELESS

IF THE COMPUTER IS A WINDOWS COMPUTER

THE WE HAVE TO FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING STEPS

PRESS WINDOWS BUTTON + R (LETTER R  ON KEYBOARD )

WE HAVE TO PRESS THE WINDOWS KEY AND HOLD IT DOWN AND A THE SAME TIME WE HAVE TO PRESS LETTER R AT THE SAME TIME  ON THE

AND THEN A NEW TINY WINDOWS APPEARS ON THE VERY LEFT BOTTOM SIDE OF THE SCREEN CAME UP WITH RUN

ON THAT RUN WINDOW THERE IA AN ADDRESS BAR WE HAVE TO  TYPE THERE  cmd AND THEN HIT RUN

AFTER THAT THERE IS A COMMAND PROMPT TYPE  ipconfig  AND HIT ENTER

FROM THERE WE CAN ABLE TO FIND DEFAULT GATEWAY  WHICH IS THE IP ADDRESS OF THE DEVICE

  • Connect your computer with the router's network
  • then press window+r button\
  • now run box will open, then in that box, type cmd and hit ok
  • now in the command prompt box, type ipconfig and hit enter
  • there you will find the default gateway which is the Ip address of the router.

In order to check the Ip address of the router you need to open command prompt on the computer and type there ipconfig and hit enter now you can see the default gateway of the router.
