How do i provide manual ip address to the tplink re200 extender?
In order to provide manual ip address to the tplink re200 extender First of all you have to login into the setting of the Tplink RE200 range extender with the help of IP address provided by the router to the extender and on the settings you have to go to the Network and then LAN over there instead of Dynamic IP you need to choose Static IP and then you can assign the static IP address to you Tplink range extender.
While assigning the static IP address you need to make sure that you should assign the static IP address that is under the range of your main router’s DHCP server pool
- Login into your Tplink extender settings using the Ip address which is provided by your main router(you can check that Ip address under the connected devices list in router settings)
- once you are logged in into your extender settings then go to the Network tab
- Under the Network settings, select “use the following Ip address” option and then you can provide the static Ip to your extender
Note:- Make sure about one thing that the Ip that you are going to provide should be unique and should be under the range of your router’s DHCP Pool.
Log into the settings of TP link range extender and with IP address of extender , provided by the router , go to the settings then Network then LAN and from the change the option from Dynamic to Static . Now you can assign IP address yourself of the TP link Range Extender.

log in to your router dashboard under connected devices you will find the Ip address assigned by your router to the extender.
Pull up the IP address for your extender in a new tab and you will get to the login screen for your Tp-link extender
The default password for your Tp-link is "admin"
Once you are logged in to your extender dashboard locate the network tab, and then under that look for "use the following IP address"
Enter the IP address that you want for the extender and hit save settings
Your extender now is configured with a manual or static IP.
