To update the firmware of the extender, you need to login to the extender setup page, over there at the top left panel , click on the firmware upgrade. Now click on the check firmware upgrade, it will search for the new upgrade, once the search is complete, it will give you the option to download, once the firmware is upgraded the extender with reboot automatically

  • In order to update the firmware manually, login into the Extender's Settings
  • and to login into the extender's settings, we need to find the Ip address and for that login into the main router settings and under the connected devices list, you will find the Ip address for the extender
  • Now type that Ip address on your browser and then it will take you to the web interface of the Belkin Extender
  • from the left-hand panel, click on the firmware upgrade
  • now click on the check for new firmware option, and it will search for the new firmware and from there you will get the option to download the new firmware. So the download the firmware and once the firmware is downloaded then click on the choose file option
  • and select your downloaded firmware file
  • then it will update the firmware and reboot the extender.
  • once the extender is rebooted successfully, it means extender's firmware upgraded.
