  • First of all ,download the firmware for your netgear router from the official website of the Netgear
  • Once your firmware is downloaded ,then extract that file to your desktop
  • Now ,connect your computer with the netgear router’s network
  • open your browser and type this address:- https://routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1

First of all you need to download the firmware from this link (https://www.netgear.com/support/product/R6900P.aspx#Firmware%20Version%201.3.1.64)

Then login into the router by visiting http://192.168.1.1 or http://routerlogin.net and it will take you to the dashboard.

Over there you need to choose Advanced>administration and then under Router update click on Choose File>Select the latest firmware file that you downloaded from the Netgear website and then Apply.

The firmware upgrade process will take up to 3-5 Minutes and after that router will reboot/restart.

Once you will see that all the router lights are normal then your router is good to go.

*If you face any kind of issue while doing the firmware upgrade feel free to write us back so that we can help you further
