How to setup dlink dap-1860 range extender with Huawei router/modem?
- Turn On your Dlink extender
- connect your computer or smartphone with the extender’s network
- once your device is connected then open your browser and type this address:-192.168.0.50
- then it will take you to the login page of the Dlink extender
- now Hit login without entering the password(by default admin password is blank means no password)
- now follow the steps on the screen and complete the setup process.
- once your extender is configured, then you can connect your devices with the extender’s network.

We can also connect our extender using the WPS method, for that we need to press and hold the WPS button on our extender for at least 3 seconds and then release it and after that, within 2 minutes we need to press the WPS button on our modem/router for at least 3 seconds. Now once the lights will be stable on the extender, it means the extender is configured.
Note:- make sure that your extender is within 15 ft from the main router while you are using the WPS method.
To setup Dlink DAP-1860 range extender follow these steps:-
- Plugin the range extender into the direct wall socket near to your home router for the initial setup.
- Connect any of your wireless or wired device with Dlink extender or Dlink extender's wireless network.
- Open any browser and in the address bar type http://dlinkap.local
- Now you will see the setup wizard in the page, follow the instructions to setup the range extender
- If you want you can change the name of extended network and password of your choice that you want for it.
- Now save the settings and range extender will reboot after saving the settings.
- Once extender lights get solid connect your devices to the extended network and try to go online so that we can check that extender setup done successfully.

Press and hold the WPS button on the DAP 1860 Range Extender for 5 seconds. The WPS LED on the front should blink.Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your Houwei wireless router access point. If your router supports the 5 GHz band, just repeat steps 1 and 2 to connect the Extender to the 5 GHz band.
