How to do the setup of Linksys Extender RE6700 with AT&T router ?
- In order to setup of Linksys Extender RE6700 with AT&T router follow these steps:
- Connect your smartphone or computer with the linksys extender’s network
- open your browser and type this address:- 192.168.1.1
- it will take you to the setup page of the extender and then click on the start
- select as a wireless range extender option.
- Now it will search for available wifi networks ,select your at&t router’s wifi network and then it will ask for the wifi password or network password.
- enter your wifi password that you are using for your current new wifi network
- do the same thing for the 5g band your if your router is 5G compatible otherwise select i dont need second network and hit next
- now confirm your extended network and hit next
- create your login password the extender settings and then hit
Plugin the range extender into the wall socket near to your router(not more then 10 feet) for the initial setup. You will have to reset the extender if any changes have been made on the extender earlier. Connect your smartphone or computer with the linksys extender and open your browser and type this address:- 192.168.1.1. or http://extender.linksys.com and it will take you to the setup page of the extender and then click on the start. Now you will see the setup page so just follow the instructions to setup the range extender. You can also change the name of extended network and password of your choice. Now save the settings and range extender will reboot after saving the settings. Your extender is configured now
Plug in the range extender into the wall near to the AT&T router for the initial set up.Reset the extender if any changes have been made before on the extender.Connect any wireless devices with the extender network.Now open 192.168.1.1 on the browser on the device.Now you will see the setup page and follow the instructions to setup the range extender.If you want to change the name of the extender network and the password of your own choice.Now save the settings and reboot the extender.once the light is solid on the extender then you can connect the devices.

>If you want you can change the name of extended network and password of your choice that you want for it.
>Now save the settings and range extender will reboot after saving the settings.
>Once extender lights get solid connect your devices to the extended network and try to go online so that we can check that extender setup done successfully.
