TO SET UP YOUR ROUTER You need to plug in a cable from your existing modem to internet port of your router.
after connecting this cable connect a cable from port no-4 of your router to your computer. then follow these steps:
1. Press windows + R key that will open run window for you.
2. Type CMD in the run box.
3. Open Ipconfig and check network statistics.
4. Open your default gateway in any browser.
5. Type your user name and password .
6.that will open a setup wizard for you so follow the steps and you are good to go.

Setting up your NETGEAR -X6 -R8000 Tri band router-
Note-Its a Tri band router so make sure you are connecting your router directly in wall socket .Not in surge protector or any kind of extension. It will conflict the power of the router.
1.Just connect one ethernet cable from modem to internet port of the router.
2.Another cable from LAN port to computer.
3.Simply open your browser and in the address bar type http://routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1 .
4.You will see Netgear genie page .
5.It will ask “You need Genie to help you” just select that and it will detect default internet settings for you.
6.Once the setup is completed , Login screen will appear just type admin for username and password for password.
7.Here you can change your wireless settings as you desire .
