Is that connectivity issue going to resolve by doing the firmware upgrade on my Netgear R6400 router?

If you are facing connectivity issue on Netgear R6400 router,then YES by updating the firmware it will be taken care off.If not then you can try resetting the router by pressing the reset button with the help of paperclip for 30 seconds.

Yes, it can resolve the connectivity issue
but if its not then you can try to reset the router and try it again

Yes, if not then you can try to reset the router by pressing the reset pinhole located at the back side of the router for 30 seconds and then configure it again.
