How to reconfigure linksys re6300 range extender with Xfinity router?
There are most important steps are written below to configure your linksys extender with router :-
- Plugged in your extender to wall s0cket and go to wi-fi on your devices.
- In available wifi network you will see linksys extender setup with it , and once your devices is connect with linksys extender then go to any browser on your devices.
- On the address bar of browser please type 192.168.1.1 or http://extender.linksys.com and hit enter.
- You will see linksys extender setup on your screen . you need to choose your router and then put the router password over there and then complete the setting .Once it done it will reboot and then you good to go.
- Now plugged in your extender wherever you wanted and enjoy the internet.
To setup Linksys RE6300 range extender follow these steps:-
>Plug-in the range extender into the wall socket near to your home xfinity router for the initial setup.
>Reset the extender by pressing reset pinhole button for at least 30 seconds.
>Connect any one of your wireless devices with Linksys extender's wireless network.
>Open any browser and in the address bar type http://192.168.1.1 or http://extender.linksys.com
>Now you will see the setup wizard in the page, on the same page you will see manual setup option, you need to click on that and it will redirect you to the login screen of Linksys extender.
>By typing admin in the password box you are able to login into the extender dashboard.
>Click on-site survey, over there you are able to connect your extender with the existing network.
>If you want you can change the name of extended network and password of your choice that you want for it.
>Now save the settings and range extender will reboot after saving the settings.
>Once extender light gets solid connect your devices to the extended network and try to go online so that we can check that extender setup done successfully.
In Order to reconfigure our linksys extender with the xfinity router, we need to reset the extender first and for that we need to press and hold the reset button for at least 30 seconds and then release it.
After that ,we have to connect our computer or smartphone with the linksys extender's network
open the web browser and type this address:- 192.168.1.1
Now the follow the instructions and complete the setup process
and once our extender is configured then we can connect our wireless devices with the network.
- Press and hold the WPS button on the Linksys Extender for 5 seconds. The WPS LED on the front should blink.
- Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your xfinity wireless router. And wait for at least 2 minutes while the extender connects to your existing wireless network.If successful, the WPS LED on your Extender turns solid green
