The firmware update seemed to have stopped and now the router does not allow me to communicate with it.

You need to reboot  router by pressing and holding the windows key for 30 seconds and wait for it to reboot. If it do not work then you need to reset it and then try again.

If the Router has stopped Communicating during the Firmware Update.

• Press and hold the reset button at the back of the router for 30 seconds and then wait for the router to reboot
• Please Install update manually this time if it was not updated successfully.

In that case , we have to follow some steps:-
> first of all, try to reboot your router(and keep your router off at least for 30 seconds) and then check if its working again

then we have to reset the router and reconfigure it again.
