How to upgrade the firmware of netgear router?







To upgrade the firmware of netgear router , Turn on the router & with the help Ethernet cable or wirelessly connect it with computer. Open a browser and type in 192.168.1.1 on the top URL bar. It will open the setup page of the router. It will ask for login information (default username: admin and the Password: password). It will open the dashboard of the router & you will a message “new firmware is available for this router” Click on that and then click “Yes”. It will automatically download and install the Latest firmware of the router.

First connect your router with computer.
Open any web browser and type https://routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1.
Now you are in login page type your user name and password.
Now you will logged in.
Now open advance settings.
There you can upgrade your router.

In order to update the firmware of a Netgear Router, Please follow the Instructions below:
- Connect your computer to the router with an Ethernet cable or wireless
- Make sure the router should be On
- Pull up a browser and type in 192.168.1.1 on the top on the address bar.
- The default username: admin and the Password: password.
- You will get to the dashboard of the router On the top you will see a line says a "new firmware is available for this router" Click on that and then click "Yes"
- now wait and then let the router download and install the Latest firmware.
- it will automatically reboot the router after the firmware is updated.

First off all connect your computer with the Net gear router.
Then open the browser which you are using and type your IP address in the long address bar at the very top of your screen .
Then after you put the IP address in the browser and press enter then you go to login page over their and type your username and password over their and click on the login. And if it is not working then login with the default one the default username and password is "admin."
Once you logged in to the net gear router you will see the advance tab option over their and click on the advance tab option.
And then you will see the administration over their and under the administration you will see the firmware upgrade option over then click on it and you will be able to upgrade the firmware of the net gear router.

First open the internet explorer you are using. Suppose you are using the google chrome so open it and on the long address bar you need top type the IP address of your net gear router .
Then they will ask you to login so type your username and password to login .
After the login you go into the router features and then click on the ADVANCE> Administration option over their.
After going to the ADVANCE> Administration you see the firmware update over their or you can also see the router update ,so click on it.
After this whole process click on the "YES" option over their.
And then it starts upgrading.
