Steps to Setup NETGEAR R-6400 router-
1.Reset your router first .Hold reset button for 30 seconds then release.
2.Once power LED is solid connect your device to netgear wireless network.
3.Default password will be on the bottom of your router.
4.Once your are connected open your browser and type http://routerlogin.net or try 192.168.1.1 .
5.You will see the setup wizard Select ‘Help me choose’ and the setup wizard will auto detect all the settings and will setup your router.
NETGEAR R6400 –
1.PULG THE NETGEAR R6400 TO THE WALL OUTLET.
2.WAIT FOR THE LIGHTS TO TURN SOLID ON YOUR ROUTER.
3.NOW MAKE SURE YOUR MODEM IS CONNECTED TO THE NETGEAR R6400 WITH AN ETHERNET CABLE GOING TO THE INTERNET SLOT OF THE ROUTER.
5.ONCE THE DEVICE IS CONNECTED,OPEN YOUR BROWSER AND OPEN THIS WEBSITE http://ROUTERLOGIN.NET .
6.NOW YOU NEED TO FOLLOW THE SETUP WIZARD ON THIS WEBSITE http://ROUTERLOGIN.NET AND YOU ARE GOOD TO GO.
To setup your Netgear R6400 router you need to follow these steps:-
You need to plug in a cable from your existing modem to internet port of your router.
after connecting this cable connect a cable from port no-4 of your router to your computer. then follow these steps:
1. Press windows + R key that will open run window for you.
2. Type CMD in the run box.
3. Open Ipconfig and check network statistics.
4. Open your default gateway in any browser.
5. Type your user name and password .
6. that will open a setup wizard for you so follow the steps and you are good to go.
7. while following the setup wizard kindly make sure the settings you are choosing is correct
i.e time zone and wireless network name and key.
8. kindly upgrade the router firmware as well if there is any update pending over there.
