how to set up my 4 years old linksys re1000?

-On your router press wps button for 3 seconds.Press wps on extender for 5 seconds –
-Wifi Link LED will get solid from blinking.Now on your computer just type http://extender.linkssy.com /192.168.1.1 . Setup wizard will appear .Now just follow all the steps on the screen.
To to set up my 4 years old linksys re1000, first plug in the extender to the power and make sure that it's placed closed to the router not more than 10 feet away. Now connect the computer with extender's network. Open 192.168.1.1 on the browser. you will see the setup wizard , click on the wireless tab. You will see it's scanning for all available wifi networks nearby. Select the network that you want to extend and enter the credentials.Now click on connect and select the option to create the wifi name and the password manually for the extender and then save the settings.
- Turn On your Linksys Extender
- Connect your computer with the extender's network
- open your web browser and type this address:- 192.168.1.1
- It will take you to the setup page
- now click on the wireless tab
- it will search for the available wifi networks, select your main router's network that you want to extend and then click on the connect option
- on the next page, enter the wifi password for the main router's wifi network
- After that select the manual option and then create the wifi name and password for the Linksys extender and click on the save settings.
*Insert the range extender’s Setup CD into your optical (CD-ROM or DVD-ROM) drive. When the AutoPlay window appears, click on the Set up your Linksys Range Extender option.
*The range extender linksys re1000 will only detect and work with the 2.4 GHz network.
*When the End-User License Agreement window appears, check the I have read and accept the License Terms for using this software box, and then click Next to continue.
*Wait while the software is preparing to set up the wireless connection with your router and range extender
*Once your wireless connection has been detected, plug your range extender linksys re1000 into an electrical outlet and then click Next.
*Select the Wireless Network Name (SSID) of your router, and then click Next.
*Enter the network security key and connect it
*When you check your wireless network connection, you will no longer see the linksys re1000 range extender’s name. Instead, it will show that you are connected to your router.

2.WAIT FOR TWO MINUTES FOR THE LIGHT TO GET STABLE.
3.THEN CONNECT ON THE LINKSYS re1000 LINKSYS EXTENDER NETWORK USING YOUR WIFI ENABLE DEVICE.
4.ONCE YOU GET THE DEVICE CONNECTED TO THE EXTENDER OPEN YOUR BROWSER.
5.OPEN THIS WEBSITE http://extender.linkssy.com IF YOU GET ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE WEBSITE OPEN THIS 192.168.1.1.
6.NOW AFTER THE WEBSITE OPENS UP , YOU WILL SEE THE SETUP WIZARD AND CONNECT THE EXTENDER TO YOUR WIFI ROUTER.
