how to secure my dlink DIR-601 router





Go to your computer or phone and open browser and type 192.168.1.1 or in the top url bar. It will ask for your login information (default username and password is admin for both). Then it will open router dashboard. Go to the wireless option and click on security. There you can keep the password of your own choice at least of eight characters. Select the option of  wspa 2 personal and just click on save option. Your dlink DIR-601 router will get secure.

In order to secure your Dlink router
> Go to the router settings
> Type in the routers IP in your web browser
> IP = 192.168.0.1
> Login with your username & password
> Go to wireless
> Security
> Generate your network password there
> Select wspa 2 personal
> Click on save

First of all, Login into the dlink router settings
and for that type this address on your browser :- 192.168.0.1
and then enter the login information i.e username and password(default is admin for both)
then set the wpa 2 personal security type for wireless connection
and also make sure that you password is more than 8 characters with combination of numbers ,letters and symbols
and also check if your firewall is turned On.
you can also hide your SSID broadcast
Note:- Don't share your wifi password with anyone.
