How to change wifi name of tplink extender?

In order to change the Wifi Name or the password on a Tplink extender please follow the instructions below:

Make sure the extender is connected to the Power

Connect your computer to the extended network wirelessly or via ethernet cable

Open a browser and then at the top on the addres bar type in 192.168.0.254 or  https://tplinkrepeater.net

If you still dont get to the Tplink extender dashboard you would need to find the IP address which is assigned by the router. You can find the IP address by logging into your Router's Dasboard into the DHCP client Server or connected device list.

Once you find the IP address try to loggin with that ip and you will re-directed to the Tplink extender Dashboard. The default Password is "admin"

once you are logged in go the extender SSID and change the name and then save the settings and same goes for the extender wireless security.

If you are not able to do it just reset the extender to the default settings by pressing the reset button on the extender for 30 seconds.

Steps you need to follow in order to change the username :

1. Make sure your extender is plugged in properly.
2. It should say blue or amber light.
3. Once connected you can go to login.
4. Type in tplinkextender.net?192.168.0.254 .
5. Click on extended network.
6. now you can your network name there.

> Connect your computer with the extender's network
> open your browser and type this address:- https://tplinkrepeater.net or type the ip address which is assigned by the router(you can check that ip address by login into the web interface of the router)
> Enter the login password(default is admin)
> once you are logged in, then from left panel click on extended network name and then you can change the wifi name of your network.
