how to upgrade the firmware of linksys extender?




- Browse to Linksys Support (links in Resources) and select the "Downloads" tab.
2. Examine the product sticker on your range extender to see which version you own. If no version number is listed, your model is version 1.
3. Select your version from the drop-down menu on the page and then click "Download" under Firmware.
4. Press "Windows + E" to open File Explorer. Choose "Network" from the left pane.
5. Right-click "RE____/RE____" in the right pane and then choose "View Device Webpage" from the context menu to open a new browser window or tab.
6. Enter your username and password into the applicable fields and click "OK" to log in to the range extender.
7. Select "Administration" and "Firmware Upgrade" from the menus. Click "Choose File" and navigate to Libraries\Downloads.
8. Double-click the BIN file you downloaded from the Linksys website, and then click "Start Upgrade" to update the firmware.

>connect your computer with the extender's network
>then open your browser and type this address:- https://extender.linksys.com or 192.168.1.1 or type the address which is provided by your main router to the extender(you can check that address under the connected devices of the router)
>now enter the login password(default is admin)
>once you are successfully logged in,
then from the left panel go to firmware upgrade.
