  • To upgrade your Linksys RE7000’s firmware, follow the steps below: On the web-based setup page, click Firmware Upgrade under Administration. There are two methods in upgrading the firmware. Click on the method you would like to perform below: The Linksys RE7000 will automatically detect if there is a new available firmware and update itself. However, you can also log in and go to the Firmware Upgrade page which will force a firmware checkup. If there is a new version available, it will display the new firmware version number. Click the Update now button to start the upgrade process. Manual update
    Before you proceed with manually upgrading the Linksys RE7000’s firmware, ensure to first download the latest firmware file from the Linksys Support Site.To manually update the firmware, click Select a File and select the firmware file that you have downloaded, then click Open. click to start the upgrade and do no power cycle the extender
