Open a web browser, type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar, and then press Enter.

Enter the administrator username and password and then click OK. (The default username and password are both admin)

The Operation Mode tab will already be selected. then click the Save button.

1. Insert your wireless router’s AC adapter to the DC-IN port and plug it to a power outlet.
2. Using the bundled network cable, connect your computer to your wireless router’s LAN port.
3. Using another network cable, connect your modem to your wireless router’s WAN port.
4. Insert your modem’s AC adapter to the the DC-IN port and plug it to a power outlet.
5. On your web browser, key in http://router.asus.com. Use the default username admin and password admin to log into the user interface.
6. Click Quick Internet Setup on the left panel on the Network Map page.
7. The auto-detection of your ISP connection type takes place when you configure the wireless router for the first time or when your wireless router is reset to its default settings.
8. You can edit default Wifi SSIDs/passwords for your router and connect your devices to your router’s wifi.
9. Setup is complete.
in order to set up the ASUS AC1200, we advise you to use a wired connection when setting up your wireless router to
avoid possible setup problems. Insert your wireless router’s AC adapter to the ethernet port and plug it into a power outlet, connect your computer to your wireless router’s LAN port. Using another network cable, connect your modem to your wireless router’s WAN port. Insert your modem’s AC adapter to the ethernet port and plug it into a power outlet. Your ASUS Wireless Router comes with a web interface that allows you to easily configure its various features through a web browser. On your web browser and enter the router’s default IP address: 192.168.50.1 or enter http://router.asus.com. On the login page type in the default username and password. You can now use the Web interface to set up various settings of your ASUS Wireless Router.
